As one of the world’s largest private equity firms, earlier this year landlord of Colmore Plaza, The Carlyle Group, led the march in adding to its space offering in response to the changing market demands for more flexible office accommodation in the city.

Core was tasked with communicating this message to the market that demonstrated the change in offering from the large open floorplates that have previously characterised the building, to the addition of flexible space options from 3,800 sq ft.

The result was a compact a brochure that was innovative and quirky in its 150mm square size and fold out match book design. It was designed to mirror the building’s well established logo shape and colour. The unusual design created a folded internal sheet that is opened through a number of folds that allow the reader to view segments at a time, subliminally getting across the flexible offer through the action of folding open the unusual 12 page insert.

It was important to ensure that the high quality specification was communicated and the brand values of the building were retained throughout the design. This was achieved through the high quality paper stock used for both the cover and inside page, as well as the laminated special finishes.
