Brindleyplace destination marketing strategy

One of our longest standing clients, Brindleyplace asked us to produce a new 2010 destination marketing advertising campaign to showcase the diversity that the estate has to offer.
Our response was to produce a suite of adverts which highlight Brindleyplace’s diverse offering as both a leisure and business destination, day and night, all year round. Creating a memorable day and night strapline, we also chose two colours from the Brindleyplace palette – yellow and black – as the primary colours within the adverts to again reinforce the day and night theme.
Each advert uses isolated objects to create juxtapositions between the day and night offer on the estate, linking together different attractions, venues and locations to highlight the diversity and appeal of Brindleyplace whether visiting for work, leisure or both! For example, visitors to the Brindleyplace car park will see the giant romance themed light box advert which uses a flower to highlight Ethos florist (daytime shopping) and a glass of wine to represent the range of drinking and dining venues on the estate (night time entertaining). Other adverts include a cupcake (daytime snacking) and chocolate dessert (night time dining) and a court shoe (day time business) and red stiletto (night time dancing).
With Brindleyplace’s target audience being a diverse cross section of the community from children to corporate employees, each of the adverts is tailored to have broad appeal, providing a consistent brand identity while also inspiring visitors to try something new on the estate.
The 2010 destination marketing strategy also refreshes the advertising banners on the canal bridge which connects Brindleyplace to the ICC and marks the boundary of the estate. We felt it was important to delineate within these banners that pedestrians are entering the managed Brindleyplace estate, so for the first time, those banners now carry Welcome and Goodbye messages while also sitting within the 2010 advertising suite.
We hope you like the new look adverts and welcome feedback on our latest designs below…
