Europe’s leading event for the LED and Solid State Lighting industry is only a few months away and euroLED 2011 looks set to be bigger and better than ever before with a refreshed brand.
Organised by Birmingham Science Park Aston (BSPA), the annual euroLED event – which is now in its eighth year – is widely recognised as Europe’s leading lighting industry event, bringing together experts, exhibitors and visitors for a packed two-day programme featuring a technical conference, major exhibition and a gala dinner.
For the first time, BSPA is partnering with experienced international conference organisers IntertechPira to provide a new high profile strategic and technical conference with presentations from industry thought leaders across the Global LED and Lighting industries.
New features for euroLED 2011 include a dedicated euroLIGHT area within the exhibition, showcasing the latest in lighting design and development and an interactive speed networking area. Visitors to this year’s event will also notice a reinvigorated look and feel, with a new brand and refreshed bespoke website, designed and built by Birmingham-based creative marketing and communications agency Core.
Dr David Hardman, CEO, Birmingham Science Park Aston, said: “Over the last eight years, euroLED has continued to develop its reputation as the solid-state lighting industry’s leading event. Our partnership with IntertechPira is a natural step, ensuring that we can build and develop on this success by drawing on their years of experience in the sector.
“The partnership with IntertechPira and work with Core on refreshing the brand image of the event has created a modern, contemporary feel that reflects the forward-thinking technical advancements in this field. I am now looking forward to what I am sure will be a truly outstanding euroLED event.”
Ciaran Little, Head of Events for IntertechPira, said: “Working with BSPA and Core has meant that we have been able to really get to the heart of what our visitors, exhibitors and conference delegates want from this event.
“IntertechPira has a great deal of experience in organising conferences in this and related industries and I am positive that we will be able to bring even greater value to every person who attends euroLED 2011.”
The euroLED event has continued to enjoy increasing success since its first outing in 2004, with the 2010 event attracting 1, 858 visitors and 120 exhibitors – a massive increase on the previous year.
euroLED 2011 will be held at the Ricoh Arena’s Jaguar Exhibition Hall on 8 – 9 June 2011. For more information or to register please visit www.euroled.org.uk.
