A team from Solihull-based energy software developer Contigo is getting into the blocks ahead of the Blythe Valley Fun Run this weekend (Sunday 11 September).
The team of 9 – who will be sporting fetching tu-tus in Contigo Racing Green – will be completing the 5 kilometre course in order to raise money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital’s Children’s Heart Appeal.
Jon Yeomans, Managing Director, Contigo, said: “The appeal is raising money to replace the cardiac unit’s ageing facility and build a second cardiac theatre, which is a fantastic cause. We started training about a month ago with walks through lunchtime and a group jog once a week, and are all determined to finish the course, whether we run, jog, walk or get dragged along!”
Sponsorship can be made through the team’s Virgin Money Giving page: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/GoGoContigo
