The Midlands branch of the Office Agents Society (OAS) has raised over £5,000 for a local charity through a year of fundraising activities.
The cheque was presented to Moseley-based NICE, Centre for Movement Disorders, a charity that provides help and support to adults and children with neurological movement disorders, by OAS Midlands Chairman, George Jennings.
Over the course of the last year, OAS members in the Midlands have undertaken a packed calendar of fundraising events.
George Jennings, Chair of the Midlands branch of the OAS, said: “This has been another outstanding fundraising year and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of our members who have contributed to this great total.
“Alongside our annual summer and autumn drinks parties, a team took on the Wolf Run and we challenged our real estate investment and industrial sector colleagues to a round of golf and game of cricket at Edgbaston.
“For the second consecutive year we have been able to support NICE in the great works that they undertake and we are genuinely delighted that this money is going to a local charity.”
Louise Watkins from NICE, said: “The support from the OAS over the last two years has been absolutely fantastic and I’d like to thank them on behalf of our team for making such a wonderful contribution.
“Their very generous donation could provide a much needed bursary for a child with a condition such as cerebral palsy to attend our Red Boots School, an independent primary school rated Outstanding by Ofsted in 2016.
“The main focus of the school is to integrate therapy and education in one place and at one time with movement at the heart of every lesson.”
The OAS is a national organisation that represents the interests of office agents across the UK, bringing its members together on both social and professional levels to build strong networks within each region.
